Fair warning – our baby chuckers are on the move and there will be a plethora of photographs in the near future.

.
I just can’t get enough of their little paws.

The siblings stick closely together.

Though the occasional squabble over prime fruit and veg does occur.

This is the runt of the litter.

And it must be hard when the buffet is bigger than you.

But damn, he’s a cute little bugger.

8f a woodchuck could chuck a cord of wood in one hour, how many cords of wood could 7 woodchucks chuclk in 45 minutes?

Would that wood be piled up or stacked? Either way that’s a fair amount of wood, about $200 around here. Happy early Canada Day, true patriot son.

Thank you, Kenny, but this year we are not celebrating. There is not much to celebrate in North America nortn of the Mexican border. Your Supreme Court is destroying democracy more with every passing day, and some Canadians are applauding them. Others may not care, but at our house there is no joy. Casey has sfruck out!

Yo RG,
I can’t argue with a word of that. I don’t love my government but I love my country. I know, as I am sure you do, that no part of the government represents us all to our satisfaction. The problem there is that various groups of people feel and think they have some kind of exclusive right to that representation and to silence dissent. That’s not the idea, principle or spirit of my country. I will resist and I will not relent. I recall you saying in an earlier comment that you saw no sense in war. I hope most fervently to be wrong about this, but I think the day you do may be closer than either of us would like.
Good luck, man.

Civil war will make no sense (to me), but yes I can see it happening. My fear is what side will the military take? There seem to be a lot of generals, etc., who would side with the Republicans. I know they are supposed to follow the Commander-in-Chief, but if that is Biden I am not sure they will. What are your thoughts on secession for the red states? Live and let live, so to speak.

Lol. Good try. Only as much wood as you have lying around in your yard. They cannot chuck what isn’t there.

I they are cute! I’m sure they are grateful to Casa River for the Buffett of healthy, yet delish fruit and veg.

It just came to me why you love those fu…sweet little guys. You have a concrete basement. My foundation only goes down about sixteen inches of stone and the basement is dirt. It’s great for hiding bodies but it’s damn hard to keep critters out, which makes it harder for us to enjoy their company. You can enjoy that for me and I’ll look at the pics and smile.

I’m happy for you to live your dreams of non destructive woodchucks through me. Enjoy!

They’re adorable! Do they multiply year after year or do you get about the same number each year?

It’s a different number every year. Thus season’s 7 is a record. Usually it’s 3,4 or 5.

If not for your blog, I wouldn’t have the faintest idea what a woodchuck looked like.
