Isn’t it wonderful when you find the perfect combinations? Oreos and milk, Netflix and chill, bacon and, well anything. … but now? I’ve found a new winning combo.

Exercising while intoxicated? Finally… a workout routine designed with me in mind.

Photographic proof that even though it’s over 90 degrees and two window unit air conditioners are running full blast, his Lordship must commune with nature through an open window. And no, he’s not at all spoiled. Why do you ask?

This is a photo of our local pub’s parking lot after a recent storm moved through. Mind you, we’re a lousy five miles away and didn’t receive a single drop of rain.

It must have been a micro burst because it was a total mess.
Meanwhile back at the Barn Mahal…

We have brown grass.

There hasn’t been any rain here either and the trees are starting to limp…

Our trees are stressed and dropping leaves. My giant lilac is even turning brown and that’s never happened.

I Googled native American tribes in Maine and found that there are at least four. Surely you could get at least one to perform a rain dance on your property in exchange for something they’d appreciate (perhaps hubby has an antique peace pipe or similar artifact among his ‘treasures’).

I shall search the basement cave for tomahawks and moccasins. With my husband, you never know.

You’re five miles away and didn’t get a drop. ☺ Our house is 48′ long, and it can storm in the back yard while I can suntan in the front yard and not get wet! We live on some kind of weather line that occasionally has us in two different environments. It can happen in winter too, with a snowstorm in the front yard and a gentle breeze in the back yard. The dividing line is at about 36′ towards the back. Once in my youth the rain fell only on one side of the street I lived on while our side of the street was blue sky and sunshine, I thought that really weird! But now 3 or 4 times every year this happens, and that’s weirdly normal for us.

We’ve had similar experiences, but this storm caused a lot of damage so I thought we would have had at least a puff of breeze.

Five miles is a long distance. Think of the layers of the atmosphere. I don’t know the exact measurements, but it seems only inches separate one level from another. As we were driving the other night one level of clouds was just sitting there calmly, while above that a different set of clouds was flying by at 100 miles a hour. On the ground was a nice breeze. I tried to get a picture, but it didn’t show what we were seeing. I was very disappointed.

Let us know how the yoga/marg class goes!
WOW, on that storm. I would have hated to see your trees, plants, flowers, AND STONE WALL decimated. But yes, a few drops of rain couldn’t have hurt.

Most of our plants and flowers have dried up and died this summer, but I think the stone wall would have held.

I saw something about New England getting some rain and was going to ask if you got some…and now I have my answer. His Lordship’s resting area looks so comfy. It must be good to be him. Yoga and adult beverages…that’s gotta be ultra-chill.

We did get some rain yesterday, though it was a constant drizzle not the downpours other parts of the state received.

I could do yoga and margaritas, damn straight! His Lordship can never take a bad picture that’s for sure.

Just think of all the hours you are NOT mowing!!

True. But still… I have a whole winter of not mowing. I’d rather see some green.

I get that. Come mow mine then. It’s growing. Mower belt/pulley broke 2 days ago. Fred and I finished fixing last night.
