.
It’s finally starting to look like winter around here, albeit a few months late.
.

.
Sunrise over freshly fallen sparkling snow never gets old.
.

.
But along with overnight snow, we’re getting sunny warm days and that means icicles.
.

.
Pretty, as long as you’re not standing underneath one when it falls.
.

.
I love a snowy landscape…
.

.
There’s just something about it that makes me slow down and say, ahhh…..
.
I’m almost the same although, with me it’s usually ‘Aaahhh shit!’ as I fall on my arse…

Sun and snow make for a spectacular combination. You’re right about icicles. It’s all fun and games until you happen to be under one that decides to jettison to the ground.

We had a monster icicle on the end of our garage a few years ago. I swear it had to weigh 20 lbs. I gave it a wide berth…

Nope.
Haven’t sold me on winters in Maine. 😀
You can have your snow and shovel it too.

Gladly!
And you can keep your 90 degree temperatures with 90% humidity.
We’re both in the right place.

A sunrise on a clear morning on the snow that had fallen the night before is an inspiring thing.

It is a gorgeous view. I agree about the icicles; I’ve never seen them that big in my life, and they look scary!
