The baby woodchucks are growing and seem to be everywhere at once.

.
One little guy likes to grab a carrot slice and eat it in privacy on the stone wall.

.
Which I must admit makes for some cute pictures.

Our momma fox is coming earlier than usual now and usually shows up by 4:00pm.
.

.
Chances are her babies are running her ragged and she appreciates the easy source of food.

Poor momma.
.

.
She’s so tired she eats lying down.

Soooo much cooler than opossum and skunks!!

Those critters come after dark. Too hard to photograph through a window…

Nothing against the chuckers or Mama Fox, but skunks and possums rule!!!

What great critter captures! I miss my former home on my little bluff with my furry creatures. My neighbors bought it, turned it into an Air BnB and they often send me pics of Chuck, MY woodchuck. I miss seeing the little red fox that would run across the road, just daring cars to hit him. Thanks for these pics!! One cute nibbler and a chill fox (it has all the makings for a kids’ book!)

Our backyard would make a great kid’s book. Foxes and woodchucks and possums. Oh my.

We’ve had fox take woodchucks babies before but this momma is a fierce protector.

Aww, poor momma fox, she needs some food and solitude.

I think that’s what most humans would do if they could.
