  1. Ice scares me – there is no dealing with it. We get more ice storms than snow storms here and I’ve the totally trashed (and permanently swollen looking) ankle to attest to ice’s unforgivingness.

  2. Ice is the worst. Just ask the trees. They are not big fans. When we have ice here, you can always count on power failures to follow. Driving on it…you’re just along for the ride.

  3. Ice is great when it’s on the lake. A massive park to walk, ski, or skate on, depending on consistency and snow cover. A place for ice boats. A massive dog park. Maybe not so great on power lines and pavement, though I have ice skated down my street and once skated my paper route as a kid.

  4. Brutal. I agree with you 100% and the only silver lining to this horribly concerning winterless winter we’ve had in Minnesota this year (besides good commutes) is the lack of ice. It’s the husband’s #1 most hated thing about winter.
