.
Since my husband balked at the price tag of the carpet I chose and thought it would be easy to find a comparable replacement, we shopped.
.

.
And shopped, and shopped.
And then shopped some more.
.

.
The man had no idea how many different beige carpets existed… and I was determined to show him each and every one.
Textured, tonal, sculptured, Berber.
Wool, nylon, polyester, olefin.
.

.
There was even a line devoted to pet accidents.
But not a single one held a candle to my original choice.
The search continues…

I am soooo glad you are married to him. But I feel verrrrrrry sorry for him. Another man might have left long ago…

And you are enjoying making him regret he did not listen to you, aren’t you! The truth!

Of course.
The question is how long will it take him to admit I’m right.

Too late for that. Tell him to raise the white flag

I’m afraid he has to come to that in his own time.

HA! Seriously, ya’ll have been married for 40 years and he still hasn’t learned? Once a Marine, always a Marine. With that said, that doesn’t mean Marine’s are always right….lol.

Apparently 40 years isn’t long enough…

Reminds me of my dad taking me shopping for a winter coat when I was 17. He was appalled by prices. We looked at cheap coats and he was appalled by the cheapness of the construction. We finally ended up with my first choice that he thought was too expensive. So far it has outlived him by 24 years.

I kinda, did this backward…. I found awesome leopard print carpeting. Now I need to find a home where it would work (and win lotto to afford said home).

And by the time you find the home, the carpet will be out of stock.

I gotta say – I don’t blame him. I hate shopping for carpet.

It can be frustrating. There are almost too many choices….

It’ll be a sad day once you’ve replaced everything that needs replacing. I’ve come to enjoy seeing the look on his face as he struggles to find the perfect {fill-in-the-blank}.

It’s been an adventure that’s for sure. Before he retired he just let me choose everything. This is a new paradigm…
