.
The hostas by our kitchen landing are having a good year.
.

.
A really good year. Tall and full of pale purple blooms.
.

.

.
The day lilies that were dug up by our neighbor’s tractor when our water line burst a few years ago have finally come back to life.
.

.
Half are yellow, half are this interesting double ruffle peach and coral.
.

.
Sadly these two by the road are full of weeds..
.

.
But the colors are spectacular.
.

.

.
In other news… His Lordship almost caught the dreaded red b*tch.
.

.
That rotten red rodent was sitting on the stone wall chattering at him, taunting him … swishing her tail and daring him to lunge.
So he did.
.

.
But sadly, he missed… and she disappeared into the wall.
Almost, Dudley.
Almost.
🥴
.
He’ll be ready next time he sees her. Wow, I love how your garden looks, it’s so green and lush. I have crunch grass again this year because our water utility imposed a one week watering day or the summer. 🤬

Pics were taken early last week before our hot dry spell. I’m starting to see some brown spots already…

Beautiful display of flowers.
I have personally seen day lillies before and they are absolutely beautiful. But I have not seen as many as yours. I have seen hostas before too. But not as beautifully displayed as yours.

Double ruffle peach and coral. Is that one colour or two? Or two-tone?
Lord Dudley will never catch Momma Red as long as she sees him first. He has to use stealth mode — silent, and invisible.

It’s a pale tangerine blended with coral pink. Very pretty…

You are so lucky. I see reds, pinkks oranges, yelliwd, etc. My eyes don’t see the finer distinctions.

Are you guys getting much rain this year? I know in 2023 you had an abundance while we were suffering through a drought. Certainly not the case this year!

No, we’re quite dry right now. The lawn is browning in spots…

They come in a large variety of colors, though they can be hard to find.
