Lord Dudley Mountcatten, caught mid -stalk.

It’s been an unusually wet summer and while this time of year usually finds our lawn dry and crunchy, the grass is verdant green.

Which shows off the rainbows to perfection.

I don’t care if it tastes good, the can alone would make me try it.

Work has resumed on the view busting greenhouses across the street.

.
Can’t say I’m in a hurry for that to be erected.

I could never make decent shadow figures when I was young, but I found this recently and wanted to share. The spider looks like a scorpion and the puppy resembles a hippo but they’re still better than I ever managed.

Mr. Hawk is back and has discovered a power line perch.
.

.
Whether that’s a very brave or very stupid dove has yet to be determined.

Another rainbow.

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer my pumpkin spices in a pumpkin pie. I like my beer to be beer-flavored and my coffee to be coffee-flavored. (Though I’ll admit to an occasional coffee stout in the winter.)

I’m not a fan of pumpkin’ed things either. But I do like that can…

This one lived to tell the tale.
Or rather, for me to tell it.

I don’t have to tell you about my loathing of anything pumpkin spiced, because I’m pretty sure you already know…lol. Mr. Hunter Hawk thank you 😉.

Our very wet summer has come to a screeching halt and turned into a rain-free September. So weird. They’re actually talking drought again. I’m getting weather whiplash living here.

I know, ugh. It was 91º here a few days ago! Supposed to finally cool off (at least to normal levels) come Sunday. I’m ready!

Your grass is SO green and the rainbows are so lovely.
Do you have irrigation otherwise, or just rely on the rain Gods?
I could never make a decent shadow puppet, and still can’t figure our what shoot a bird looks like in shadow form. Maybe a flamingo? 😛
