.
I have a pretty pink hanging geranium on our back deck.
.

.
I love it, but apparently I’m not the only one.
.

.
Something has been eating the leaves and I finally found the culprit.
.

.
He’s tiny, but is really doing a number to my plant.
.

.
Bizarre, yet beautiful.
.

.
I’m fascinated by these freaky things.
.

.
After a little research… I discovered he’s much prettier in caterpillar form.
.

.
🥴

Oh my. It gives me a shudder seeing it in that form on your flower. I wasn’t expecting this to be the culprit to loving your geranium.

For one little guy he’s blazed a large path of destruction.

I’ve never seen that bug before!!
Can you smell geraniums? I’m the only person I know who smells an offensive scent from them.

They don’t have much of a scent…

I wonder if it’s that cilantro/soap gene that makes me smell them so strong.
When I moved in here, there was a lemon geranium that smelled great… exactly like lemons… but it was ant infested and had to go. It’s the only geranium I’ve ever liked.
I think marigolds smell offensive too.

Marigolds are stinky, I agree

Add me. I don’t like the smell. Not as bad as lavender, though.

Unless you’re a geranium, I think he’s harmless.

Rarely is the caterpillar cuter than the moth or butterfly, but you are right.
