.
Two things happened yesterday that should have been April Fools Day pranks but weren’t.
First… we had our taxes done. This is always cause for mutual grumbling and groaning because we never see a refund and always pay, pay, pay.
So when the preparer tallied everything up and handed us this?
.

.
We were stunned.
Yes, it cost us $410 to find out, but … refunds! Not one, but two. We almost fell off our chairs.
It was also the first time my husband had to admit that this full time retirement thing might not be so bad.
😉
.
The second thing that I was sure was a prank was this…
.

.
Okay Oreo, ha ha. Funny joke.
But no….
They actually sold this monstrosity.
.

.
For one day only. On April 1st.
.

.

.
Blech!
.

.
A complete abomination and one that is sure to kick my dormant pickle algorithm into high gear.
Sigh.
🥒
.
I look forward to your review of those cookies.

That’s not happening…

Sweet and savory is a fantastic combination though. I’d try them in a heartbeat! In fact, you should see how excited I got when I learned Pickle Palooza is coming to Wisconsin this summer!!

Maybe you can catch them next April.

Top big to fail? No. Too dill NOT to fail.
Disgusting.

I’m noticing other dill pickle flavored foods like potato chips. I think that’s more doable than Oreos.

I once tried pickles on pizza (Indian!) and loved it. But I cannot fathom Oreo…(Oreo, for God’s sake!)…with pickle.

I had a cheeseburger pizza that had pickle slices. It wasn’t awful. …
But Oreos? Never.

Oh, I hope tax refunds are contagious. We pay in every year, too. I’m waiting to get ours back from our accountant… fingers crossed we have a River-style tax year.
I would call what Oreo has done “attention-seeking behavior.”

This was our first tax year with the husband being fully retired. That made the difference…

I missed the one day only sale –
I am willing to purchase your unopened package of cookies… if they are for sale.

Alas… I did not take advantage of the sale.
But never fear, there’s always next year.

I think of you any time I see a weird pickle-flavored item. Also when I saw Labubu Dubai chocolate bars. Dual trend? Gotta be $30+/bar (I didn’t check).

If we ever got a refund, I’d have to be picked up off the ground.
The pickle cookies sound disgusting! I hope I don’t start picking up your algorithm.

We were stunned. I mean it was April Fools Day and our preparer is a smart *ss… it couldn’t be true.
