Because it’s Monday and that’s how we start the week here.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s because he was born, raised and still lives here… but what do I know?

Thankfully she didn’t open it.

Robots creep me out. Always have, always will.
The robot Olympics were funny because so many of them crashed and burned, but when they all marched in like an invading army? I literally cringed.

We’ll be sorry. Trust me on this.

Kudos Australia. Almost every living thing there can kill you already, so I guess nuclear apocalypse isn’t that big a deal.

Love the deer. Pretty soon, some enterprising person will start renting deer for weddings. I mean getting rid of the flowers can be a pain.

My woodchucks would be happy to help.

Hmmm, they’re pretty cute, too. Not Bambi cute, but the little ones are adorable.

Okay, so being in a peninsular country, chances aren’t great for us in case of the great flood. But I hope someone will build an arc to save the bustling wildlife (we will simply hitch a ride). 😀

The photos look even more beautiful, thanks to the deer. Best wedding ever for not throwing it out. 😀

There is a reason Australia was chosen for the setting of On The Beach. And yes to the wedding.

Are we the only peeps who remember On The Beach?

Polar opposites here: adorable deer, sinister-looking robots. They creep me out, too.

The thought of having one in our home mopping the floor makes me shiver but I read you can buy one now for light housekeeping. It comes in a box and unfolds itself upon opening.
No. Thank. You!

Mopping my own floors has never sounded so good.
And if I did have one, it would spend every night locked in the garage.

Nope.
That’s still too close.
I’m sure it could pick a lock quite easily…

We can’t get robots, unless they’re US made, due to something cheato signed. I only know because it includes roombas and some similar-tech lawn mower.

That doesn’t upset me in the least.

That’s either a robot deer or it was added with AI.
Just sayin’.

I’ve always thought robots were cute, thanks for that clip, I saw the article in the “papers” but never bothered to read it. Someone beat me to the reference to “On the Beach”. I don’t recall reading the book but I saw the movie but what also struck me as funny is that someone featured the theme song from ‘Max Max: Beyond Thunderdome’ this morning. Brought me back to schooldays when we hid under our desks for bomb drills.

I’m glad that wasn’t part of my school curriculum.

We did the drills into the late 70s.

Really?
I never did. I was 6 in 1970.

School nuclear bomb drills had an unexpected bonus for me, in SoCal: It’s now considered the proper response to an earthquake!

Not very squeamish, but maggots really gross me out. On the other hand, a deer at a wedding is delightful. The happy couple seems unfazed.

Ahem, Stephen King might write about Maine but he lives near Sarasota. Beautiful area on the Gulf of Mexico but then again, this is probably one of his many residences.

Yes. He and his wife do the snowbird thing most winters, but his home will always be Maine.

S. King hilarious in a duh way. Seriously. Eye roll.
Deer stuff real?? If so, awesome.
Gross maggots.
Def cringe too on the robots. I’m with you.
Your Australia comments are the best!

I didn’t know people could keep deer as pets! That’s fun. Now I want a pet deer!

It’s illegal in most places, but they can be tamed.

That wedding is completely AI-generated. The giveaway? It is in Florida, and there are no thunderclouds in the sky.

Ha!
Point taken, but it was on Little Palm Island in the Keys.

My feeling about nuclear holocaust is I’d rather be under the first bomb than survive! The deer made the wedding, no doubt!

True. I’d rather not be around for post apocalypse…. It doesn’t sound pleasant.

LOL @ the AU dig! I think AU has always been thought to be the country that will be the least affected by global war. Good for them!!!
