It’s time for another peak into my absolute favorite desk calendar.
And all these months later?
She can still read my mind.
I think that one is self explanatory.
If you’re not familiar with Anne, she takes those innocent snapshots of the perfect 1950’s housewives and gives them a little twist.
If that isn’t incentive enough to fly…
I don’t know what is.
Yes….
Blue things have occasionally been found growing in the back of my refrigerator.
And we’re not talking Jello.
While I have often expressed this next sentiment…
If you look very closely…
Happy housewife on the right appears to have been holding something that was digitally removed…. and it seems to have been oblong.
Was it a Twinkie? A hot dog?
Or was this Lorena Bobbit’s grandmother?
Tough call.
And finally…
This has always been my philosophy.
Smiling.
It’s so over rated.
I was in the jury pool for the trial of John Bobbit, but I didn’t get picked for it.

I think it would’ve been difficult for me to concentrate, anyway. So, I got a burglary trial instead.

I’ve bought cocktail napkins with some of these images on them. I didn’t know they were created by one woman. The things I learn here…

She’s from Maine too. Another reason to love her!

Well that’s cool. No wonder you know so much about her.

Hmmm I wonder why that artist doesn’t use women’s images from the 1970’s? Do you think it might be the no bra thing, or that the women from the 1950’s look so sedated that it might actually covey their under the table drinking? lol

I think a lot was going on under the table back in the 50’s….

I resembled some of those. Especially the one with something digitally removed…

I envy those perfect 1950’s housewives. They did a lot of drinking and never looked even slightly ruffled.

Eat your heart out, Norman Rockwell (a grave matter, but only speaking posthumorously, of course).
