When the local nursery has a half price and buy one get one free sale in July?
You fill the back of your car.
Find room for some in an already full bed.
And replant the pots that your resident woodchucks munched to stalks.
Hopefully with flowers they don’t like.
And when the nursery extends the sale to the end of the month?
You go back again.
And cram even more flowers in a bed that’s already full just because you can.
While a red squirrel watches.
When you’re done?
You sit back on the barn porch and enjoy an adult beverage before dinner.
And watch the old doe walk up to have a snack.
Life is good.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Can we trade lives? Please? Mona

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again, you have a beautiful house/yard/spread River. It’s just gorgeous.

Deers don’t eat 2-4-1 flowers????

The deer never touch anything. Except once during a very hard winter, they nibbled some trees.

I’ll quietly take the gorgeous pot off the deck and put it in my car. It appears to be blocking your view, and I have just the spot for it at Bonnywood… 😉

So beautiful. Here’s hoping the chucks find the new flowers distasteful.

Flowers? That’s girl stuff.
We here in the He-Man Woman-Haters clubhouse want nothin’ to do with ’em!

Yikes. Annuals have no place in our garden. Perennials only.

I mix them in with the perennials for a constant burst of color… and woodchuck snacks.
