But apparently no one else (builds a two story barn with a farmer’s porch for storage, decides they rather have a spectacular man cave, spends endless months and thousands of dollars making it attractive, contracts out construction of a full bar and) needs taller than normal chairs.

Online will be my last resort as you can’t rate the comfort or quality level. When it comes to furniture, I’m a tactile shopper.

My guy started building one so I wouldn’t have to share our kitchen. It has been a year and he has it up but is making the bathroom building a priority. Ghaa.

I have an old potty chair which you could put on top of something at the bar to make it 30 inches tall. What am I offered for this dual-purpose (partial) solution?

You are offered a piece of duct tape to put over your mouth so my husband doesn’t hear the word old and take you up on it.

Kitchen counter and high top table chairs are 24 inches to the seat. Traditional bar/pub chairs are 30 inches and apparently not popular. As for the cake, if you think I’m baking out there you haven’t been paying attention!

Buy 24 inch tall chairs and put them on a 6 inch bar side platform. And watch the hijinks as people (in a rush to visit the non-existent bathroom) step out of the chairs, fall off the platform, and have to use the motorized scooter to get out to their cars once they sober up.

Good luck with the chair hunt. We have a “bar-height” kitchen table and the associated chairs are past their expiration date (lots of stains, because people are essentially sloppy animals). We’ve been looking for replacements for a while now, to no avail. Keep my posted on your quest, as we are at the desperation point… 😉
