Autumn is here and it’s by far my favorite time of year. Crisp air, brightly colored foliage, pumpkins, apples… what’s not to love?
Of course if you’re my husband, who just spent countless thousands turning his barn into a man cave, you might not fully embrace the season.
.

.
Because nothing says ‘private domain of men’ more than a strategically placed fall wreath.
.

.
And speaking of turning leaves….
.

.
Ours are just beginning to put on a show. It’s the season I starting twitching for a road trip to the mountains. Whether that will happen is still up for debate.
.

.
Weren’t expecting that?
Neither was I, but it popped up on my FB feed all the same.
🥴
.

.
A photo of Lord Dudley Mountcatten meeting my new toy. He was not impressed, but I am.
Since blowing out my knee last year, getting on all fours to scrub the kitchen floor has been a no no. Enter the Bissell steam mop. Cheap and surprisingly efficient.
How well did it clean the floor?
.

.
So well that I literally gasped at how filthy it had become.
In my defense, I mopped right after a rain storm and had to erase an artful array of the husband’s muddy boot prints, but still.
😬
.
Did you make the wreath?

I did. Though it was quite a long time ago…

It’s beautiful! You have a talent there.

When we lived down south I was uber crafty. Dried flowers, ceramics, cross stitching etc. Now that I’m up here? I just garden and drink.

I reckon you could still be considered crafty. If you’re decorating cocktails with lime/lemon slices, mint and other pretty things, it could pass as a craft😂

Creative cocktails. I like it.

The wreath is pretty, but it makes me think about not putting a door on my workshop 😉
Your leaves are turning ahead of ours. I love the photo!

It’s still patchy here, and they’re not very bright yet. But it’s coming….

It’s October. Shouldn’t you be buried in snow?

Not quite yet. Though we have had it for Halloween….

I like autumn too. The temperature stays in the 80’s (F), the beaches are less crowded, we only have to mow the lawn 3 times a month, and our A/C occasionally goes off.

Ugh. That sounds like summer to me. Our windows are wide open with a refreshing breeze, sun is shining and the high today will be 68. Perfect!

No problem. The older I get the more I like the cold.

Just looking out your window there is an array of beautiful scenery. That is unless your taking a picture of that Red Menace lol. I’m sure the hubs loves your decor as much as we all do. And thanks for the review of that appliance, I’ve been sitting on the fence about it. I saved it on my Ma son list but kept putting off buying it. I have a 1630 sq. ft house, no carpet only tile, so scrubbing/mopping can get to be a very big chore. Now I’m buying this for sure!

I meant to say my Amazon list not ma son list, ugh stupid autocorrect! 🤬

They make different series, start cheap and go up with more options. I just the simple one for $69, but I like it so much I almost wish I’d gotten the better one.
