Because the nightly news is too depressing and hate filled.

I shop at Goodwill all the time. Closest I’ve ever come to art is Elvis on velvet and dogs playing poker.

I don’t eat Cup Noodles, why in the world would I want to paint my face or nails to match?

When you have a head that looks like you’re constantly flipping someone off, it pays to look surprised.

Guest house might be stretching it, but boy… I wish these had been for sale when my MIL was alive.
🤣

Does the MIL house come equpped with an indoor outhouse? 8 hours, how many workers?

I’m afraid I can’t answer. Though I’ll guess no on the outhouse…

Pretty hard to put in indoor plumbing in 8 hours, don’t you think? Lol!

Well, my husband does have an antique chamber pot in the cellar…

Chamberpot. Outhouse. A matter of mental attitude. Neither one is flushable. Just one is prettier than the other, in most cases.

This one is violet covered porcelain. Tres chic.

Hell, I score big at Goodwill if I find a book I have not read, by an author I like, for 99 cents!

Same. But have you been lately? Last time I went the hardcovers that used to be $2-3 are now $8-9. WTH!

I kind of quit going when I heard that the good stuff gets removed, boxed, sent to GW HQ, and they put them for sale on their website. We now pretty much stick to local thrift stores.

Yes, they’ve been doing that for years. But still, every once in a while I find a treasure among the junk.

If building the little house requires the use of a saw, I’m out. Measure twice, cut once, get it wrong anyway, “I’m going to Lowe’s to get some more wood. Love you, Baby.”

Since it’s a kit of sorts, I would imagine they’re precut. But I hear you, I’m constantly being sent to Lowes when my husband is in mid build.

Bonus…. if the guest gets too annoying, you can just roll them out onto the highway while still in their room.

I like this idea. Even better, hitch them to your truck while they’re sleeping and haul them to an another relative’s back yard.

I love GW, scored a set of 6 cup/saucer of Indiana Milk glass and the creamer/sugar bowl as well for $10. But it’s been getting expensive just like everything else.

Their prices were always higher than Salvation Army, but now they’re almost comparable to a consignment shop here. Still cheaper than going to the mall… but not the real bargain it used to be.

Here, The Salvation Army is outrageous in pricing and Goodwill comes in 2nd most expensive.

Really? It’s just the opposite here. On half price Wednesday at Salvation Army… where everything is half price… a blouse is usually $2. If you even manage to pick a blouse with the right color price tag on the right day at Goodwill it’s still usually $6.

I like the DIY home. What a great place to write and is it air conditioned?

You’re welcome.

I can just see the makeup company focus group now, slurping their cup of noodles out on the lawn at noon, and the idea fairy strikes the boss. She, being the boss, no one is going to tell her that is the most moronic think they ever heard …

For the life of me I can’t think what type of complexion a woman would have to have for that to look good.

Sure, I suppose that bug’s head looks like somebody flipping the bird. But I see something a little more risque.

Maybe you need a few of those little houses. People could stay over after the pool tournaments.
