Most years I wouldn’t have given this article a second thought.

.
But with a lawn comprised mostly of brown grass and numerous half dead flower beds? It caught my eye.

Interesting….

Who knew gin could solve my garden woes?
.

.
Drunks fare better than abstainers? Anyone who’s seen me navigate icy winter sidewalks after a few cocktails could have told you that.
😉
.
I guess the alcohol “preserves” the plants? The drunk plants may have survived better, but I bet they had hangovers just the same. The price you pay. Yet in this case, it sounds like it pays to make sure our plants get hammered.

A gin and tonic sprinkler sounds like a grand way to spend the summer as far as I’m concerned.

And then, if the bunnies eat the plants ???

Or a flight of stairs, a 60MPH sandstorm, roller blades, a John Deer tractor/loader, There are many thing drunks can fare better than sober people, lol.

I don’t know about that. My limit is one to operate moving vehicles.

With your large yard and abundant flowerbeds, think how expensive it would be to keep them happily tipsy. You may need to hock a lot of hubby’s antique treasures to pay for it all….which leads to the question, could you pull it off without raising suspicions ?

Probably not, but I’d like to try…

Sounds like a spray of alcohol need only be made about every six weeks. That doesn’t sound too bad — until you find out what proof of alcohol you need. Is there a point at which a higher proof (Everclear) becomes dangerous? And if you go too low (American beer) it probably doesn’t do much at all.

As with all alcohol use, it’s a matter of quantity vs quality.

A definite dilemma.

I’d rather let my lawn turn crisp and brown than waste a good bottle of gin on feeding it.

Solution – use the cheap stuff you serve to company.

Interesting. Now, I am going to have to see if I can share my Cola with my Cactus.

Cola is usually caustic, I wouldn’t. Great fur cleaning battery terminals though…

Ooh, I have three bottles of dessert wine that I forgot to put out at the Travel Bucket List Fundraiser. (They were destined for that party because I’m not really into dessert wine – they were a gift from several years ago.) Wonder if those would work…

Doubtful. Not enough ethanol..

What about if you drink it first, then water the plants with it, wink wink?

Good idea, but it might negate the benefits….
