.
The baby nibblers are on the move and my flower beds are quaking in fear.

.
For that matter so is my wallet.

.
I thought the head count was four, then five..
.

.
But yesterday I think I spotted six.

It might be a very colorless summer at Casa River.
.
But they are so cute! You gotta .ove them!

Plant seeds indoors in Spring. Much cheaper!

Is there anything to deter them from eating this gourmet feat of flowers so that you can enjoy them for the summer? Im so glad I don’t have this problem. I just have a cat or two digging up my rose beds to use as little boxes….🙄.

I’ve tried moth balls, red pepper flakes, peppermint oil, coyote urine and every repellent spray on the market. They eat through everything.

How did you setup the mothballs? I thought of trying them but read they’re super toxic for cats, who get into them anyway. I’m hoping that’s wrong.

They are toxic to cats though dogs are most apt to eat them. We didn’t have any pets the one time I it. But the ones I used were in little pouch like bags.

Me neighbor plans to put them under his patio to deter skunks. He says cats don’t go under there. Mine don’t but I know some have in the past. I mean, a cat can fit almost anywhere a skink can.
I think I’m more likely to try amonia on rags, at night, or something like that.

Tell him to buy the ones in the bag. I doubt it will work for skunks though.

Send them here. They’re welcome to eat my plants!

If you want them to eat something, it’s a guarantee they won’t.

Yeah… would prob quickly be across the street to the neighbor’s front yard/public veggie garden.

That’s what kills me. We have a 75 acre organic vegetable farm right across the road… go munch there!

They are cute, but you have/had a lot of pretty plants

It’s a constant battle. And our growing season is so short by the time they’re gone so are all the flowers.
