.
Now it feels like winter!
.

.
We had our first snow recently and it was the heavy wet variety that instantly turns your world into an ice cream wonderland.
.

.
Yes, it’s hard to shovel… but with the smooth new driveway under me it was much less painful.
.

.
We only got a few inches and it will probably melt before long because winters aren’t as cold as they used to be in Maine…
Look at the green grass underneath.
.

.
But for now, I’m enjoying the storybook scenes.
❄️
.
Can’t say as I enjoy snow anymore, even as a pretty picture – and here I am contemplating moving back to Vermont…

Our snowfalls have been few and far between in the last decade. I miss the big storms…

Winters aren’t as cold as they used to be everywhere. 😦

No measurable snow here in over a year. New record set as each day goes by. Now…since my last report here we have had THREE instances of flurries…so there’s that.👀❄

We used to have wonderful snow storms … feet at a time. Light, fluffy and wonderful. Now it’s only a few wet, heavy inches. Then it melts, and freezes overnight. I love snow… but hate ice.

Love snow. It’s magical!
But winters are just not what they used to be.

Maybe somewhere, but not in Maine.

Wow, Christmas card perfection! No snow here in the far southwest and I’m happy about that. People around here can’t drive in the rain let alone when it snows 🙄. But the cold has gotten harsh, 23 degrees last night and with the wind chill it was horrible.

You’re colder than we are!

It’s too bad it has to be cold for the snow to stick around! Beautiful, though! Happy December, River! Mona

I like the cold. Not the minus 30 with 40mph wind type… but I’m fine with cold enough for snow to stick.

That shore is purty. Every year we get hedge witches and woolly worms predicting a cold snowy winter and maybe we get enough to make some muddy slush. It’s great on the parkway but dangerous as well. Maybe this year.

I always do. The husbands snow blower is a beast, way too heavy for me to maneuver.

What lovely scenes! We’ve been having heatwaves in Oz. I know I’d much rather snow. Its beauty is one thing, the water for environment is the other. The strip of grass is so vibrant and deliciously green!

We’ve been so warm the grass never died…

Might you have a white Christmas? It’s going to be green/brown here, even though it’s usually white.

We’re going to be 50 degrees today with rain coming in three days next week.
All the snow has melted…
