Our second stop on the toddies and tapas tour of Boothbay Harbor was McSeagulls, just to the left of our first… Mine Oyster.
.

.
Unassuming places from the front…
.

.
Lovely waterfront spots in the back.
.

.
Can you guess which glass of craft beer I raised?
.

.
Once again we found a popular summer tourist restaurant/bar nowhere near capacity. It was a shock… this area is usually jam packed.
.

.
A bowl of creamy tomato bisque for the husband…
.

.
Some calamari for moi.
.

.
And a groan worthy fish pun for the rest of you.
😉
.
Did you enjoy your Dogfish Head? We’ve been to their HQ (if that’s right) in the Delaware area. They sure have grown! I’m enjoying your tour.

Good luck to McSeagull’s keeping their name. Santa Cruz, CA was once home to a vegetarian restaurant called McDharma’s. They received a Cease and Desist order from McDonald’s. It was not the last time a restaurant was sued for using “Mc” in its name.

It’s been McSeagulls for as long as I can remember… at the very least 25 years.
Don’t tell McDonald’s.

I’ve noticed that your husband really enjoys a nice bowl of soup The tomato bisque looks like a good pick. Park a grilled cheese next to it and I’m in business.

Tomato soup and a grilled cheese is a New England staple!

I’m going with the Dogfish Head beer as well. What, no French onion soup for the hubs? I’m in shock…lol. Those calamari look really good, I hope they were.

French onion wasn’t on the menu. 😉
And yes, the calamari was quite nice.

I have no idea which beer, because I don’t drink beer. But my husband loves beer and pale ales so I’ll guess that one.

Looks like such a cute town. I’m sorry they don’t have the business they are used to. But at least you get to enjoy the peace and views.

Microbrews tend to be greater in alcohol content, and they can sneak up on you.

I could not guess which beer you enjoyed. A sampler perhaps?
