.
I love peony season.
.

.
Brilliant pops of pink brighten my day.
.

.
The scent is heavenly.
.

.
And they make wonderful bouquets.
.

.
Shame the blooms don’t last longer though.
.

.
In other news, the Red B*tch has discovered the new kitchen landing storm door is a perfect place to tease His Lordship.
.

.
Poor Dudley.
.

.
And poor me for missing what was surely a rollicking good time.
🤣
.
That squirrel seems to like to taunt you and Dudley.

Gorgeous peonies! Still blooming? They’re so much later than ours!

Step 1: install a porch camera
Step 2: put a metal grid on the porch
Step 3: connect a car battery to the grid
Step 4: splice in an ON/OFF switch just inside the storm door
Step 5: wait for His Lordship to discover the ON/OFF switch…
Step 6: post the videos here

Yeah.
That won’t be happening…

Missed opportunity. You could totally monetize those videos and make bank.

No creatures will be harmed on this blog.
Though the electrified mat could work for door to door solicitors…

Are you not tempted to let his lordship out, just once, when Red is right there?

Oh, he’s had multiple opportunities to catch her.
She’s too fast.

I once went on a Banana Slug hunt/gathering, for the annual race in, probably, Big Basin. I was older than other attendees so I picked up a lot of super sticky slugs for them. Weird find memory!!

Eeww. I hope you wore gloves…

Nope!!! No one ever considered it (it was the 70s… latex gloves weren’t common and gardening gloves would be destroyed). I’d do it again, still bare-handed!!

Better you than me.

Our peony blossoms have long since shriveled up. No word on our worms.
