They’re back.
And they’re everywhere.
Momma red squirrel and her babies.
They’ve grown and are venturing out.
The new wider deck railing is a favorite spot for eating snacks. And while it’s cute, there’s a problem.
Or should I say multiple little problems. Squirrel poo is now dotting the landscape where we enjoy adult beverages.
And this is a new favorite perch.
I did laugh the other day when one of them climbed on the bracket and saw what he thought was a tasty glob of food.
Only to taste it and discover it was Vaseline to keep the ants off the hummingbird feeder.
Take that you tiny poop factory!

Oh geez, you are so patient River, I think I would have tired of the cute squirrels already, batting them away with a broom….not hard, but pushing their fuzzy little tushes out…..they are still cute though….without the poop….

I’d be interested in an explanation of the term ‘LeeLander.’ The only online reference I can find is to a Real Estate firm in Peterborough, Ontario. 🙂

I have always wondered where squirrels poop, because I have never seen any before. Not even in the birdbath they liked to climb in before it broke…

I don’t know if squirrels have hairballs, but I use vaseline as a hairball remedy for our cats. It keeps them nice and regular. They have no problem licking it off their toes, and it is worlds cheaper than official hairball remedies. You just might be doing the squirrels a favour, though they might not like the flavour.

Just curious, but has anyone ever noticed when you hit the send button on a comment, it immediately says the comment was sent 2 minutes ago. Even worse, some replies seem to come within seconds. How does Word Press know what I’m going to write 2 minutes before I do?
