Woodchucks are still being tormented by starlings.
And are sometimes drastically outnumbered.
Deer and fox happily dine together.
Squirrel keeps an eye on deer.
But calls in back up.
Until another fox shows up.
Who is so chill he lays down and eats like a Roman.
How chill?
He even smiles for the camera.
Deer, fox and squirrels depart, woodchucks return.
It’s the circle of life.
Otherwise known as an average afternoon in our backyard.
*note – these pictures were taken before the drought turned our lawn a lovely shade of brown*
Fun! The fox has an audience. You have your own entertainment in your backyard.

My critter pics tend to pile up and no one needs to see 199 woodchuck photos in one blog, so yeah…. I try to space them out.

I’m most envious of your foxes. We’ve got them in our neighborhood too, but they haven’t ever visited my backyard.
…at least not that I know of…

These started coming to eat seeds under our bird feeders, then for blueberries that fell on the ground. Now, I feed them.

I feel like I’ve said this before or maybe read it somewhere. Anyway, it’s too good not to do again so… (me singing) What did the fox say?

Before I started posting fox pics I’d never heard that…

Wow! Actual wildlife! I get excited when I can coax a squirrel or a robin into my yard. I am so jealous!
Great pics!
