News you can’t use.

.

And if you can use it? I’m sorry.

.

.

I haven’t read it, nor do I have any intention of reading it, but damn. That doesn’t sound pleasant.

.

Duly noted.

.

.

I never understand people who linger there to read or play with their devices. I adore reading… but there are more comfortable seats in the house.

.

.

That was one busy trio.

.

Yes, you read that correctly.

I’m proud to say my liquor consumption did not waver during the pandemic… and rest assured, I continue to do my part to shore up America’s potent potable economy.

  1. I happen to be one of the world’s experts on colonoscopies, having had over a hundred in my lifetime. I would never think to be anethetized during one. Watching the scope travel through my intestines reminds me of that movie I saw as a kid, Fantastic Voyage.
As for sitting on a throne for more than 5 minutes, this is often a requirement of my life. I have Sudoku books beside the two toilets in our house (I need one upstairs and one downstairs because I cannot always make it between floors. I have no control like regular people do!)
This is too much information, yes, but I am not the only one who lives like this. I have no idea if surgeons ever perfected the pelvic pouch operation (removing the colon and reattaching the small intestine to the anus, rather than having a person live with an ostomy bag) but for a long time there were more failures than successes. Few people know this unless you know someone who had a failed surgery, and maybe not even then, as most people are ashamed to talk about their problems.
There is an on-line support group for us, though I stopped participating years ago. I wanted to go public, but few people did. “Bathroom stuff should stay in the bathroom!”
I totally disagreed. I argued that if the world knew, something more might get done to correct our problems. Well, the problems are still here, and I’ve never heard anyone talk about them.
This particular post came me the venue to talk, so thank you, Rg.

  2. Trust me, there are many reasons to linger on the throne. When I was single parenting young kids, that private time on the toilet was more precious than gold. If I could make it 15 minutes or longer, that was a very good day indeed!
