.
Mother Nature is amazing and we thoroughly enjoy visiting some of her special places.
.

.
Sabbaday Falls was one of them.
.

.
The walkways and paths are cut into the rock and follow the natural trail.
.

.
There’s the husband taking pictures beside a really big rock. That says it all.
.
.
Did I enjoy all the stair climbing? No.
.

.
But it was totally worth the discomfort and I smiled through the pain.
.

.
Rocks and trees. Trees and rocks. I was a seriously happy camper.
.

.
The falls spray water everywhere and some of the paths were slippery.
.
.
But damn, it sure was beautiful.
.

.
And the sturdy walkway was impressive in and of itself.
.

.

.
If you’re ever in the area? Go!
.
That’s a really nice patch of trees and rocks, just the kind of place I like to go as well. Thanks for posting this.

I can’t believe we drove by it so many times but never stopped.

It was worth it. Though my knee might disagree.

Why do all of these places have stairs to climb? I’m sure you’d be happier if they were just paths all along the way. But other than that it looks just serene and cold, it looks cold, lol.

It was a little brisk that day, but not bad. Then again I have constant hot flashes so you can’t rely on my temperature gauge.
The reason there are always stairs is because climbing to the top always affords the best views and it would be too steep for a path.

I love this. Yes, if we’re ever in the area we’ll visit this for sure. Beautiful setting!

Fabulous. Loved the scenery!
We used to visit a place in PA that looked a lot like this ~ Dingman’s Falls. Also, a place in SC that looked similar. Both places along the Appalachian Trail or its environs.

Why do I think we’ve been to Dingman’s? Hmm…

In ‘days of old,’ my two favorite travel lures were covered bridges and waterfalls. You’ve covered both in recent posts, making me a happy camper. 😀

So gorgeous!
The 3rd pic hurt my brain till I saw your hubby. Before that, my eyes were seeing the rock as a stream – but even turned sideways, it didn’t work out right. I love that kind of stuff!
Is there ever a time when it’s warm enough to get in the water there?

I’m sure you could get in the water in the summer, though it would still be cold mountain fed. I imagine it runs a lot more powerfully then though….

Maybe late summer…
