.
It’s finally time to start planting some annuals around Casa River. It’s really only safe after Memorial Day as we had frosty nights right up until the end of May.
.

.
A few geraniums.
.

.
Some peachy begonias on the kitchen porch.
.

.
A line of alternating marigolds.
.

.
And it was back to the greenhouse for another trunkful. One can never have too many flowers.
My husband disagrees, but what does he know?
.

.
A pizza. With pickles. And pickle flavored potato chips. Christ, it might as well have kale.
🤢
.

.
I always thought I was one of those people who said – I’ll eat anything as long as it’s covered in chocolate.
Turns out I was wrong.
.
Um, I think I’ll stick with pickles on the side or on the sandwich. The flowers are pretty. I hope nobody likes their flavor.

It’s always a gamble this time of year, though they’ve never eaten geraniums or marigolds so I think I’m safe there.

No one eat marigolds here, either.

Tee hee! No to the pickle pie (I love pickles though~and flavored chips) and chocolate covered hot dog? I tried something with marigolds. I grew them in my little hydroponic system (tiny~only 7 pod holder) and yesterday, I transplanted them in my backyard small garden. I started 3 more last night! They’ve grown tall, just no blooms yet. We shall see!

Marigolds are sturdy little things. Pretty hard to kill…

Where’s the beet pickle pie? The deep red colour would be so much more delightful.
Chocolate-covered dills? Just say no!

No pickles in my chicken salad. Onions and celery only…

Oh, I’m so glad I waited until 10:00 a.m. to read your post. The pickle pictures would have been too much to see at 6 a.m. Especially the chocolate covered ones. Yuch.
You are very artistic with your plants. Beautiful!

Chocolate covered pickles are wrong every hour of every day.

I only like chocolate when it’s been frozen, and I’m not sure what I’d think about a frozen pickle. Then again, just NO all the way around…

I am going to go with you on this one. It is a waste of pickles, and a waste of chocolate. It should be a major felony to do that .

Forget the taste, I can’t even get past how they look…

Thankfully, I don’t like Pickles!

I love pickles, friend pickle chips, in salads but that pie is sacrilegious and I’m sure would taste horrible. I just started planting marigolds as well, they are great in salads.

I would never, ever, ever eat any of those pickled items! I like pickles but I need them completely alone!🙂

I’ve had pickles on pizza before (ever have a cheeseburger pie?) and loved it. I’m sure this shocks you.

I’m a traditionalist where pizza is concerned. I’ll venture as far out as Hawaiian, but ain’t no pickles ever gonna touch my pizza.
