Plants and pickles.

.

It’s finally time to start planting some annuals around Casa River. It’s really only safe after Memorial Day as we had frosty nights right up until the end of May.

.

.

A few geraniums.

.

.

Some peachy begonias on the kitchen porch.

.

.

A line of alternating marigolds.

.

.

And it was back to the greenhouse for another trunkful. One can never have too many flowers.

My husband disagrees, but what does he know?

.

.

A pizza. With pickles. And pickle flavored potato chips. Christ, it might as well have kale.

🤢

I always thought I was one of those people who said – I’ll eat anything as long as it’s covered in chocolate.

Turns out I was wrong.

  1. Tee hee! No to the pickle pie (I love pickles though~and flavored chips) and chocolate covered hot dog? I tried something with marigolds. I grew them in my little hydroponic system (tiny~only 7 pod holder) and yesterday, I transplanted them in my backyard small garden. I started 3 more last night! They’ve grown tall, just no blooms yet. We shall see!

  2. Oh, I’m so glad I waited until 10:00 a.m. to read your post. The pickle pictures would have been too much to see at 6 a.m. Especially the chocolate covered ones. Yuch.

You are very artistic with your plants. Beautiful!
