Our resident raccoon happily eats alongside the skunks. Although usually at a safe distance.

But when he’s having a drink and little mister stinky is also thirsty?

The better part of valor is to relinquish the water dish.

And stay upwind of the stink hole.

Maybe put out more then one water source? But there’s a chance (because you have more the one striped-cat) they may just spread out anyway.

We have multiple water bowls, but they all have their preferred bowl and “table” where we put food.

Our guys only show up in the evening.
I do one water bowl and the bird bath.
Two hummingbird feeders.
Three bird feeders.
A suet cage, a suet nugget cylinder.
Veggies and fruit for the chucks.
And the skunk/raccoon/fox food.
It’s a lot of work, not to mention money… as you know.

I had extremely talkative mom & baby raccoons last night… very rare to hear them. I think it was another late season baby… if not, 2 babies from my video post are MIA.

Raccoons chatter. It’s a funny sound, high pitched.

We passed a dead skunk in the road last weekend…which was a surprise, as I have never seen one around. Guess I’d better be on high alert during those early morning walks!
