Maine events.

.

I had a good chuckle at some local Maine events recently.

.

.

Whoopie pies are a thing up here. They come in numerous flavors, everyone makes them and everyone loves them. (Except my husband, for reasons I’ve never understood. They’re delightful) And while a wine pairing with whoopies might seem strange to some, it’s perfectly logical to us.

Cocktails? Yes.

Fried bugs? No.

I’d have to be very, very happy to reach for those.

.

.

Can’t believe I missed this one!

Maine has very few rabbits left in the wild and there are none in my area. I would totally have eaten pastries and cuddled bunnies!

😰

I love my town.

.

This month someone is seeking a new home for their goats.

.

.

Nothing wrong with that… but the reason?

.

.

Now that’s a bit disturbing. If you have to re-home your goats because of rats? You might want to re-examine your current living conditions as well as your livestock’s.

.

.

Do you have a guy? We have a guy. I can’t tell you the name of our guy because then he would be your guy and wouldn’t have time to be ours.

.

.

Aww. I haven’t seen the lost pig, but if these people are really the owners…. shouldn’t they know the pig’s gender by now?

.

.

Okay, so not everyone is polite in our town.

.

.

Bunny! In all the years we’ve lived here we’ve never had a visiting bunny. And from the text of the announcement, it’s now abundantly clear why. We simply don’t have the right kind of weed.

Reason #612 why I hate this new editor.

.

Bear with me while I bitch.

(I have two weeks worth of scheduled posts in the queue so the bitching will be limited at this time.)

Ever since the husband started teleworking in March, I’ve been doing a lot of blogging on my phone. Which, until the new roll out of the editor from Hell, was fine.

But now that people are being forced to use it, things have changed… at least for me.

My friend from  No Facilities, Dan Antion, is always nice enough to include photos of the rabbits he sees on his walks for me. With a backyard family of foxes, bunnies are the one critter we never see at Casa River.

But when I look at his posts now…

This is what I see –

.

.

Text over photos.

.

.

Photos over photos.

.

.

Text over text.

.

.

And photos over text.

Anyway you look at it, it’s a mess.

So if any of WordPress’s inappropriately named ‘Happiness Engineers’ drop by to say hello?

Be sure and tell them I ain’t happy.
