Since I’m still trying to plow through my massive stack of magazines, I have to share.
.

Do we really need shoes that breathe? I don’t… but maybe that’s just me.

I’m all for alternative leather products… eucalyptus? Cool. But if they come up with kale filled seats? I’m boycotting on sheer principle.

According to this map temperatures are rising almost everywhere but it looks like me and my hot flashes are in the right place. Hang in there Maine! River melts into a puddle in anything above 75 degrees.
.
.
If you’ve never had canned brown bread you haven’t lived a full life. This is a Maine staple, made in Portland, Maine… so why this article calls it Boston brown is a mystery. Moist and filled with molasses?
Try it. Your mouth will thank me.

Dexter is coming back!
I don’t have Showtime anymore but might have to resubscribe in order to revisit my favorite serial killer.

.
Ghost pepper strawberry frosting?
No.
Just no.

I head for the exits when people start mumbling ‘alternative’.
Brown bread? Actually, the old Army “C” rations left over from the Korean conflict had cans of that. In the Vietnam era, we ate up the old stores of them rather than let the Army surplus them off.
And damn. Go muck around with shoes, but just leave my damned donuts alone!

My husband always speaks fondly of C Rats. Far superior to the MRE’s. I believe he said the peaches and pound cake was fought over quite often.

Okay so even though I’m from Texas, I’ve tried that canned brown bread and even though I shouldn’t eat it, I do. It’s hard to believe that I’ve found it here at Albertson’s, and tried it on a whim a couple of years back and LOVED IT! So, this Texan is covered! 😉

Brown bread in Texas? Maybe there’s hope for that state yet…
😉

Hey, hey, hey….Texas is a great state, despite what the election results said. Hope is abundant here! lol

My neo hippie liberal SIL moved down there 25 years ago. Now? She’s an ardent Trump supporter. I don’t even recognize her anymore..

Ha! Well, I live in far southwest Texas, we are more blue than red. Believe me the rest of the state doesn’t like us very much for that, lol. But I am far from an ardent Trump supporter, that dude need to go and fast. And now, he’s on his way, although he won’t go quietly, the bastard. When will he realize that this country isn’t a reality show, it’s actual reality!! ugh…

Parts of Texas are turning blue, ‘tis true. And for the good of the country? We should all be purple!

I normally wouldn’t advocate bread in a can, but I make an exception for this one.

Okay, that settles it. I’ve noticed the canned brown bread in a few stores around here and I was mildly curious, but now I simply must partake. I’ll keep you posted.
And “Dexter”? Loved the show, was NOT pleased with the ending. Still a little miffed all these years later… 😉

If you like molasses, you’ll like the bread.
As for Dexter, I agree. The ending was almost as bad as the Game of Thrones finale. Why get us hooked only to let us down in the end?

That brown bread in a can sounds intriguing, but betcha I couldn’t find it around here!! And, I bet they didn’t sell very many of those ghost pepper donuts. I love donuts, but I mean, get real.
