.
I saw this the other day and was sorely tempted.
.

.
I totally need cherry tomato toting ants.
In other local news….
.

.
Such a neighborly thing to do.
And lately a dip in the pool has been sounding wonderful with temps being hot, hot, hot.
.

.
Of course this is Maine, so while it felt like 104 one morning…
.

.
Two days later it felt like 45.
.

.
I replanted my left over garden bed with geraniums after the baby woodchucks ate all the petunias.
.

.
But not before the little bastards darlings chewed all the leaves off my gay feather.
.

.
At least they left the blooms this time.
🥴
.

.
Now I’m wondering what an appropriate beef jerky card message would be.
I wanna hold your ham?
Nice to meat you?
Don’t go bacon my heart.
I have a t-bone to pick with you?
.
😂
Anyway I need those ants. 😎

Exactly. What guest wouldn’t love that?

The Maine meme brought to mind a June visit to Newfoundland one year. I commented on the weather to a local after a drive down a snow-covered road, and he replied, “you should come back in the summer.” “When’s that?” asked. “July 28.”

Ha! It used to be that way here. We never had air conditioning because we never needed it. But yesterday was 93 degrees with 73% humidity and I would have died without it.

Interestingly enough – my wife makes ants when we have parties in the summer. Not all the time and she’s not a professional “ant maker” or anything, but she threw a party for my nephew for his graduation and she ordered a bunch of jingle bells from Amazon (loose bells) and she has a roll of wire. You hot glue three bells together, not specifically in a straight line and then you cut wire and bend it into “legs” and you hot glue six to each “ant”. Then, I, take them all outside and paint them jet black. Later in the month, you put your red and white checkered table cloth on and put these all over the table. Instant party. She’s fun like that. Kids get a real kick out of it. (I also at least once a day point out that we have ants on the table, but I’ve been told I’m not that funny)
