Life is good, so why such viloent language? Why “beat a lawn into submission” when you can trim a lawn to show its best features? (Americans never cease to amaze me!)

Our lawn is a monster we constantly battle with. It’s wild and unruly and fights back. Victory is fleeting and must be celebrated…

Then why not defeat it? I heard on a garden ehow there is something called micro-clover. It covers the ground, makes it look green, but never needs cutting.
I plan on looking into it, but so far I keep forgetting. Maybe now is a good time, for both of us.

Not you. The hubs. Keep him busy for awhile. Apparently it mixes with the grass. Mow it once a month. Sounds like you have ideal weather for it, unless you have high humidity.

I think I said this before, but your grass is spectacular, whatever it takes to keep it that way is worth it. Cathy can’t see any more of your pics or she’ll have me out there forever.
I saw a bottle of Shipyard, melon?, on your table. I found a Cap.n Eli’s root beer bottle cap in a box of Redcoats. We brought some, and some Moxie, home from our trip and two weeks later It started showing up on the grocery store shelves. I don’t care much for Moxie, but I’m a big fan of root beer.
So, how’s this digression going? I don’t know how big your property is, but you guys must be working like dogs to keep it up. Enjoy your beer and your barn, you’ve earned it.

Yes, it was Shipyard melon for me. A nice summer beer. Our property is 3.3 acres and we probably mow 2.85. It is a lot of work, but we love the result.

I agree with Kenny, your grass is awesome! It seems that your property is about as big (or bigger) as a football field. I just love it! Alas I’m still weeding and battling fucking creeping Charlie’s from my front yard. I hate that despicable weed! And I have it everywhere!! 😡.

I did some cutting and trimming today in the morning heat. This took the place of the gym today. Your grass is beautiful!

We could go to the beach as well but it is a trip you start early as the thunderstorms might come later on. Never a dull moment.

The act of mowing the lawn at our home is so much more enjoyed after the deed is done compared to contemplating doing it in the first place.

Life indeed is good. I would NEVER tire of your gorgeous yard and view…although I know it does take a lot of hard work. That little guy apparently is enjoying it as well.
