.
After traversing the Green Mountains in Vermont, we entered New Hampshire.
.

.
Still mountains, but now they’re White. Although technically right now they’re red, orange and gold.
.

.
This is a beautiful section of NH and one we drive through quite a bit in the autumn.
.

.
There are random wooden moose.
.

.
Glorious fall foliage.
.

.
Random skeleton coffee house greeters.
.

.
And more colorful scenery.
.

.
I think my husband shed a tear over the state of this neglected barn.
.

.
Common to this area? Random filling stations for crystal clear mountain fed spring water. Bring your bottles, fill for free and make some amazing tea or coffee when you get home.
.

.
Yes, please.
Do that as well..
.
You really need to see Alfred Hitchcock’s The Trouble with Harry.

Perfect post and pics (spring water is the way! And of course, voting out wackos).

I think we just need to turn that barn into one epic bonfire. I’ll bring marshmallows.

Okay. But let my husband pick through the inside first or he’ll pout.

I’m still amazed at the beauty of Vermont, all that green, gold, orange and eventually red. Also, spring water for free?!?! That’s totally awesome, speaking as someone who doesn’t drink tap water this would be great for me. And yes I agree lets vote out the wackos!

Your moose are stocky, but mighty short. If you want to see a real fake moose, northern Canada style, try this one. Skip ahead to about the 3:00 minute mark of
https://youtu.be/8oYcm3AY950 and you will see Manny the Moose, standing tall in Manning , Alberta.
(The real story is the company who made this statue had no idea what a real moose looked like except a grainy picture of a moose’s head. So they put the head on top of a horse’s body, added some height, and delivered this to the town. There was a fight over should it be used or not, but the town had alreafy paid for it, so why waste the money.) His actual name, no longer used, is Manny the Morse.
Manny garnered me 5 cowpoints the first time we saw him.

We used to have spring water stations in our area…until the springs dried up. That moose is awesome. That barn is not.

We live near the coast, so no mountain springs for us.

Vermont is literally French for green mountain, so it’s nice to see them really leaning into that by naming their mountains the same thing!
I love the random spring water filling stations. Sure beats anything sold in plastic.
