.
All kinds of critters are showing up for the evening buffet at Casa River.
.

.
Some of them a tad more odiferous than others.
.

.
I wish it was still legal in Maine to de-scent a skunk and have one for a pet. A friend of mine did that back in the day and the little fluff ball was wonderful. Affectionate, playful and litter box trained. More than I can say for some of my friend’s husbands now that I think about it.
.

.
Baby chucks are always the first to pounce. Carrots, apples, lettuce, melon and blueberries? Love them.
.

.
Spinach, celery and strawberries? Won’t touch them.
.

.
We have one young lone deer showing up for grain a few times a week.
.

.
We probably won’t see the herd back until fall.
.
My neighbor pets them and hand feeds them. Unfortunately, they walk past the kennel fence twice a day and give the dogs little warning “poots”. 😒

Awww. I’d love to pet one of ours, but I give them a wide berth.

I love how those baby chucks are lined up together in the one shot.

They stay pretty close. But they’re young. Wait till they’re teenagers…

I’d love to have a pet skunk! NOT telling visitors the skunk was de-scented would be the best part.

As long as they don’t stroke out when it jumps in their lap. Who needs that paperwork..

That would stink.

You’re so lucky to have so much wildlife to watch up close, even if the ‘chucks sometimes burrow where you wish they wouldn’t.

We are. And I love them all, digging or not.

These are some real good shots right here. The one with the three little woodchucks is totally meme worthy.
