As you know, our cat Lord Dudley Mountcatten is spoiled. He is not however, ill mannered.. and never tries to jump on the dining room table during meals. But for those of you who have misbehaving felines? I offer a solution:

What do you do when a friend recommends a fabulous blueberry vodka but you have no space on your man cave bar shelves?

You pack them a little tighter and hope the shelves are up for the extra weight.

We seem to be down to three baby woodchucks from seven. I prefer to think this is a result of momma chuck kicking a few of the kids out of the den and not the result of predation. But this little guy?
Our once beautiful lush green lawn is now brown and crunchy.
Time after time we see thunderstorms roll on by with only a few drops falling on our property.

So few the baby woodchucks were trying to lap them up off the deck boards last night.
Half our state is experiencing drought conditions and I’m filling our bird bath three times a day. If things don’t change I might have to start providing the ground dwellers with a pool as well.

How dry and crunchy is our lawn? Even the septic system access is brown and dry.

If it weren’t for the weeds there would be no green at all.
Unbearable heat. Sink holes that can swallow your house. Hurricanes. Anacondas and boa constrictors in the waterways. Now there are giant snails? Makes me glad I’m at the other end of I-95.

Did she hide them in her hair? If so, it’s easy to see how she got away with it for so long….

This guy had a period for 20 years and didn’t know it. Bloating and homicidal mood swings weren’t enough to make him wonder?

This doesn’t surprise me at all. Matter of fact, I’ve known a few guys like that myself…
The visiting pair of mallard ducks hasn’t been spotted at Casa River for a few weeks now… so I figured it was getting too dry and they’d moved on.
Until the other day when I was out mowing the front lawn and saw this:

Momma duck and 13 babies!

.
She sashayed across the lawn and headed right for the road … in front of an oncoming car which had me ditching the mower and running into the street waving my arms like a crazy person.

She tried crossing three times and three times I had to stop traffic only to have her duck ( pun intended ) back on the lawn.

.
Fourth time was vehicle free.
Momma and babies made it safely across.
.
Where there's only one step from the sublime to the ridiculous.
