The price of visiting woodchucks?

.

I can’t say this with any certainly, but I’m guessing the demise of our cedar tree was woodchuck related.

.

.

It stood in that corner for almost 20years with no issue and then, wham! It was dead. Upon removal we found this…

.

.

A hole, next to the trunk. And on further examination…

.

.

A hump of dirt with a strategically placed pile of poo. On the other side of the hump?

.

.

Another hole, which meant woodchuck tunnel. I figured they must have destroyed the roots of the tree with their digging, but in actuality the tunnel goes under these other bushes that weren’t affected at all.

.

.

So it’s a mystery, but either way? I’m left with an empty space and a stump.

.

.

Because while my husband loves to cut things down with his chainsaw? He could care less about the mess he leaves behind.

.

.

Random cat nonsense.

.

I posted a picture of Lord Dudley Mountcatten sprawled on my husband’s laptop to Facebook a while back and a girlfriend sent me this.

.

.

I think that could work quite well.

.

.

Required picture of his Lordship.

.

.

Hard no.

If there is ever a club that declines to offer me membership? Please let it be this one.

.

.

Required photo number two.

.

.

And look how happy kitty is with his gift! I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a strategically placed pile of poo in that owner’s future.

.

.

Required photo number three. Dudley is not impressed.

.

Because I was tired of waiting.

Ever since we installed the new deck railings we’ve needed to re-stain the deck. And by we, I mean me… because while he’ll constantly remark it needs to be done? The husband never does it. Not once in 18 years.

Problem is, we needed to buy a new pressure washer to clean the siding and I didn’t want to stain until that happened.

So I waited. And waited….. and waited some more.

( Never nagging. No. Not me.)

But after the husband saw the prices of a new Honda pressure washer?

I feel confident saying it’s not happening anytime soon.

So I moved things to the lawn, grabbed my brush and went to work.

Many  holy hell why is it surface of the sun  hot hours later…

I was done.

And pretty pleased with the results.

Dirty siding aside, it looks nice.

Clean, fresh and ready for the red squirrel family’s onslaught of poo.

Next morning fog shot just because.
